Oops - I gave you the wrong command line.
Try with

       snmpd -f -Le -Dread_config

I'm *always* getting that wrong!


But I'm also concerned about the last couple of lines.
The agent doesn't seem able to listen for incoming requests,
so it wouldn't be able to pass them off to the remote system
where necessary.

Are you sure that you shut down the main agent before running
the debug version above?   Check that nothing is listening
on port 161 before you run the command above.
