Hi! Thanks for the explanation! Now, I´m working to modify the NMS configurations and when I start the daemon through the command $ sudo /etc/init.d/snmpd start I receive the answer: Starting network management services:/usr/sbin/snmpd: symbol lookup error: /usr/sbin/snmpd: undefined symbol: smux_listen_sd and the daemon doesn´t work - no activity in 161 and 162 ports. About the version installed in Ubuntu 8.04: $ snmpd -v NET-SNMP version: 5.4.1 Web: http://www.net-snmp.org/ Email: [email protected] What´s the problem? Thanks again!
