MIB objects which represent "aggregate" data.

Hi,

Is there a recommendation or standard on defining MIB objects which
represent aggregate data in proprietary MIBs ?

For example, if I have MIB object representing "process A" and the stats it
collects, I define it inside a table so that I can have multiple instances
of that process.
The SNMP manager can walk this table and get all the info that it needs for
all instances of "process A".

However, from a bandwidth standpoint, I would like to define an aggregate
MIB object for "process A", which the SNMP manager can poll and get a
"cumulative  view of process A".

I read through rfc 4498 and it looks like it may be close to what I would
want.  I am curious as to whether the users here have adopted other
standards.
