Hi Dave,

When i am running below command , I am getting "Can't assign requested
address" error message. I have put the remote server IP address with
port number to "snmpTrapdAddr" Directive.

Like below in snmptrapd.conf file
snmpTrapdAddr udp:xyz.abc.att.com:162

usr/sbin/snmptrapd -f -Le -d -c /home/uk1577/snmptrapd.conf
NET-SNMP version 5.4.1
couldn't open xyz.abc.att.com:1024 -- errno 227 ("Can't assign requested
address")

where "xyz.abc.a1t.com" is one of my server from which i am expecting
trap messages .

Instead of remote machine host name , if i put local machine host name it
work file. Please let me know how to overcome from this issue.

2) I am able to snmpget in local machine . But when i am trying to do
same thing(snmpget) from remote machine to first machine i am getting
time out error. When

Here is my first machine snmpd.conf

rocommunity chan2063 abc.xyz.alt.com # abc.xyz.alt.com
is my remote machine host name from there i am running snmpget command

agentaddress 161

When I run /usr/sbin/snmpd -f -Le -d , i observed that, the first
machine receiving snmpget message from remote machine but it is not
replying anything

Please let me know what is problem in above issue.
