Hello,

Does net-SNMP support receiving traps from an IPv6 only enabled nodes(single stack)?
Is this patch applicable for the same?

I have come across this particular data structure which stands for storing PDU information defined in snmp_api.h.

typedef snmp_pdu {
...
...
/** This is ONLY used for v1 TRAPs */
unsinged char agent_addr[4];
...
}

Do you think this structure can hold an Ipv6 address which is of 128 bits of length. Does the comment above the defn means that V11 traps cannot be sent from an IPv6 enabled device?

Please comment on the same.

We are evaluating to use net-SNMP libraries/utilities to receive traps from both IPv4 and IPv6 devices across network.

PS: I am currently using net-SNMP-5.4.1.

Thanks,
Sonu
