Both machines, (the one on which I was able to build net-SNMP and the
one on which I wasn't), have gcc version 3.4.3 and in both cases it is
the gcc that came with the Solaris 10 distro.  I also have GNU ld
version 2.17 installed which I had to not only reference in my PATH but
I also changed the old ld files into ld.orig and created symbolic links
to the GNU ld in their place since gcc was pointed to the old ld.
