2008/8/4 Osvaldo Alvarez Pozo <[email protected]>: > How could I make monitor to send differents OID for each resources > monitored. $ man snmpd.conf notificationEvent ENAME NOTIFICATION .... defines a notification event named ENAME. This can be triggered from a given monitor entry by specifying the option -e ENAME (see above). NOTIFICATION should be the OID of the NOTIFICA- TION-TYPE definition for the notification to be generated. Note that you would need to define private NOTIFICATION MIB definitions for these non-standard traps. By default, the "monitor" directive uses the generic mteTriggerFired notification, and you would use the values of the payload varbinds (particularly mteHotTrigger and mteHotOID) to determine which entry triggered the notification.
