Hello.

I am having a problem with one subagent written by me. I hope sombody there
can help me. Although I have some years working with c and c++ I am almost
a newbie to SNMP. I thing it may be a configuration problem or something
wrong in the way I use the library.

The funny fact is that it seems to works well on Linux2.4-i686 and
Solaris10-sparcv9 but, the same source code does not work in
Solaris10-amd64.

More specifically the problem is that the subagent calls
"send_trap_vars(SNMP_TRAP_ENTERPRISESPECIFIC, 1, vars) -my logs confirm
that- but I can't see the trap in snmptrapd.

I am interested to know if any of you had faced something similar or know
what am I doing wrong.

I run snmpd in this way:
/usr/sfw/sbin/snmpd -V -C -DALL -f -L -c /etc/sma/snmd/snmd.conf
>/tmp/faillog 2>&1

I run snmptrapd in this way:
/usr/sfw/sbin/snmptrapd -f -P -m
ATS-GLOBAL-REG.my:ATS-STATUS-MIB.my:ATS-DISP_dispatcher-MIB.my

Netsnmp version is: 5.0.9 (snmpd --version), which comes with solaris10.

uname -a: SunOS hp-solaris-x86 5.10 Generic_120012-14 i86pc i386 i86pc

isalist: amd64 pentium_pro+mmx pentium_pro pentium+mmx pentium i486 i386 i86

I attached the faillog file generated by snmpd, snmpd.conf the mibs used and
a goodlog file generated in a Solaris10-sparcv9. To find the trap that my
subagent generate do search for "Normal Operation".

I am not sure, but it seems that a AGENTX_ERR_PROCESSING_ERROR (error 268)
is found in the trap sent to snmpd.

If somebody can help me, thanks, if no, thanks anyway.
Bye
