Hello,

I learn that only numerical OID is used in TX/RX, and relationship between numerical OID and its textual format.

I look at some C code and found only numerical OID is used ???
So I guess a MIB is not used in C code for agent, but only for SNMP manager for displaying ???

Thanks,

Duy

  Hi Mike,

How does that work? I mean sending snmp traps from a standalone application. Is there any simple sample code I could look at?
Also I assume doing this way would not require snmpd running. Correct?
  Thanks,
  -Vahid
