the meaning of agentXRetries and agentXTimeout parameters in case of subagent (snmpd -X)

Hello everyone!

As far as I understand agentXRetries option defines a number of
re-connections in case of communication is down between master and sub
agents.

subagent -------PING------------> there is no anyone who can answer!
master agent did not response, so the subagent thinks the master is down.
subagent tries to reconnect by agentXRetries number every agentXTimeout
seconds. Is it true?

Can you please point me right direction?

when I run subagent I can see some warnings, see below

# snmpd -X -f -Le
/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 1: Warning: Unknown token: master.
/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 5: Warning: Unknown token: agentXRetries.
/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 24: Warning: Unknown token: rocommunity.
/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 26: Warning: Unknown token: trapsink.
/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 27: Warning: Unknown token: trap2sink.

I am interested in /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf: line 5: Warning: Unknown token:
agentXRetries.
Does it means subagent does not know agentXRetries parameter?

a part of /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf:
...
master agentx
agentXSocket udp:localhost:705
agentXPingInterval 3
agentXRetries 2
...

Thanks in advance.
