Hi, Thomas

I'd like to run my agent on UNIX(AIX, HPUX) or LINUX, and my current net-snmp version is 5.4.2.pre1. I've made a little change on net-snmp, so I prefer to use my own version other than 3rd party's. Thank you!

To compile it on one machine and dispatch the binary code on others seems to be the right way. But I don't know how to do this, could anybody give a suggestion? Thanks very much!

What operating systems do you run on these hosts? Different OSes have different package formats.
What net-snmp version do you like to package?

See http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/Third-Party_Packages for existing "third-party" packages.
