Look in /usr/local/etc/snmpd.conf. If yuou're just getting started, `man snmpconf` for a good way to avoid getting clogged with details while learning. If you don't want to run as root, make all port numbers >1024 (preferably >8000) and put unix domain sockets (you would only use this for AgentX) in your own filesystem, but if you can build to /usr/local, you've got root priv, don'cha?
