Timeout for snmpget

Hi Experts, I am using net-snmp-5.0.11.2 version source to test http://www.net-snmp.org/wiki/index.php/TUT:Writing_a_MIB_Module example. But when trying to execute the snmpget -v 1 -c public localhost NET-SNMP-TUTORIAL-MIB::nstAgentModuleObject.0 it is showing Timeout: No Response from localhost. After that I check SNMPv2-MIB::sysUpTime.0 and the same result appear. Please anybody let me know where is the problem I have? I am in a great trouble now for this reason.
