Hi,

This may appear to be a bit off-topic, but it would really help me at the moment...

I've come across an agent that doesn't like if I send two snmpget too close together (I currently have to wait 20 seconds between them). If I do, it will just stop responding until I stop for a period of time. Whether I request the same objects or different ones doesn't make a difference.

The question is: is this common practice, or should I contact the manufacturer and report it as a fault (it really is going to make things very difficult for me if I have to cope with that).

The reason it may be off-topic is because I don't know at all if that agent uses Net-SNMP or something else, but I would really appreciate your expert opinion here!

Thanks in advance.

Daniel.
