RE: core dump

 net-snmp-5.4.2.1 which I'm running on solaris10 (in a zone)

I'm starting it as a service under SMF - there are no additional options

# /usr/ucb/ps eww 17645

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/ssl/lib:/usr/local/lib:
PATH=/usr/sbin:/usr/bin SMF_FMRI=svc:/system/net-snmp:default
SMF_METHOD=/lib/svc/method/svc-net-snmp
SMF_RESTARTER=svc:/system/svc/restarter:default TZ=GB

All I get in the service log is 
[ Jan  3 22:48:28 Stopping because process dumped core. ]

There appears to be no specific trigger for when it dumps core - not
time based afaict. and theres nothing untoward in /var/adm/messages

What net-snmp version are you using?
How exactly are you starting the agent?
What triggers the problem?
Can you reproduce the issue?
