Please have a note of the following

iptables -L

Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination

Chain FORWARD (policy ACCEPT)

Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target     prot opt source               destination

the packets are going out using the -d command, however no reply from agent
(My server is 172.16.24.108 and agent is 172.16.24.109)

<does that mean the snmp is listening on 161>

<am I right in saying that actually packets are coming but are being
filtered. If so then why, how, and what next>
