There is an object being > imported from CISCO-DMP-MIB (yours?) into UCD-DEMO-MIB - is > that perhaps an old test that you never cleaned up? > > Thanks for your help. Found that I had another MIB under /usr/local/share/snmp/mibs with the same name but a different extension (CISCO-DMP-MIB.txt_old_type) which I had used some time back and forgoten about it. Somehow that was causing the problem. Not sure why the problem didn't surface earlier (or maybe I didn't notice!) This old file had the same object name but the type of the object was different. Once I changed the name in the working file (but left the old one as is), it started created problems. Anyway, I deleted the old file and it works now!
