if{In,Out}Octets update time

Hi all,

I'm trying to get interface stats by polling 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.10.1
and 1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.1 each second. I get new numbers only each
12 seconds, all the rest time they are stale. Is it possible to
make them update faster? 

snmpd.conf(5) reveals nothing relevant, and reading interfaces.c/ifTable.c
doesn't help very much too. Seems like I'm looking in the wrong place.

I use snmpd from net-snmp-5.4.2.1 as server and snmpget from
net-snmp-5.4.1 as client, both running on Linux 2.6.
