I've downloaded and installed: (note it is not easy for me to copy and paste the output from the target machine, so I'll transcribe output to illustrate.) net-snmp 5.4.2.1 I have verified that the 'ucb-snmp/lmSensor' option has been enabled via: UCD-SNMP-MIB::versionConfigureOptions.0 When I use snmpwalk: /usr/local/bin/snmpwalk -v 2c -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.13.16 The snmpd seems to hang, and further, does not come back up after: /etc/init.d/snmpd stop /etc/init.d/snmpd start When I execute the following: /usr/local/sbin/snmpd -f -DALL There are a number of lines such as Error: Line 278 Parse error before chip name ... And some number of similar errors There is no further output either for standard queries, or for the above query which starts at the lmSensor OID. As a note, I used a patch for the lmSensors, and selected the lmSensorsMIB 'c' files. The 'as delivered' lmSensors.c halted the build with errors which seem to suggest that the version in the net-snmp sources was not at the same level as the lm-sensor version that I have on my system, which is 3.0.3.
