Yes.  I thought it would auto-pick up the need for IPv6 too.  I just
tried both of these and it worked:

Make the agent listen to port 161 (the default) on ::1

> snmpd -f -Le 'ipv6:[::1]:161'

Make snmpget talk to the localhost agent:

> snmpget 'ipv6:[::1]' sysContact.0
