In which case, you wouldn't use MAX-ACCESS or "accessible-for-notify" either. But SMIv1 is effectively obsolete now, so I'd forget about it. Use NOTIFICATION-TYPE to define the trap, and everything should just work - regardless of the SNMP version you're using.
