We are running Net-SNMP 5.1.2 on a Redhat 4 update 6 system and are trying to monitor cpu usage using the SNMPv2-SMI Host Resources MIB. The hrProcessorLoad table appears to be broken, we get crazy values returned from queries. Googling around on the net shows that the hrProcessorLoad table is broken on Net-SNMP versions below 5.4 and this is a known issue. Has this been fixed in Net-SNMP 5.4.2.1 ????? What is the bugfix number for this, or is there any doc I can obtain describing the bug and the fix? I looked through the "CHANGES" file in the 5.4.2.1 distribution tarball but could not find anything pertaining to this fix. I realise it is better to use the ssCpu* oids in the UCD-SNMP-MIB however we are monitoring with WhatsUp Gold and it is our company standard. WhatsUp Gold uses the host resources mib for everything on the default active monitor display and the guys responsible for WhatsUp here do not want to make a custom active monitoring page for our redhat systems. I've opened up a case with our vendor to get net-snmp5.4.2.1 built into an rpm for our platform so we can pull it off ULN however they want info on the bug and the fix, prefferably a bug number. So in summary, was this hrProcessorLoad issue fixed in 5.4.2.1 and is there any doc or bugfix # I can pass on to our vendor to prove the problem was fixed ??? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Apps built with the Adobe(R) Flex(R) framework and Flex Builder(TM) are powering Web 2.0 with engaging, cross-platform capabilities.
