If you want to receive traps on system B, then you need to run a program on system B to receive and process those traps. The program that the Net-SNMP project provides to receive traps is "snmptrapd" The configuration file that controls the behaviour of any program must reside on the same system that the program runs on. It will also have the same name as the program So the configuration file for the Net-SNMP trap receiver is "snmptrapd.conf" (Note - *not* "snmptrap.conf") snmptrapd will be running on system B, so snmptrapd.conf needs to be on system B as well.
