Using the monitor function with thresholds

Hi,
I have been using the monitor function with positive thresholds and it works well. When I try to use it with negative thresholds it does not seem to work at all (doesn't send traps). Here is a copy of the monitor line in the snmpd.conf file which I am having troubles with:

monitor -S -r 1 -e NotifyAnt1RssiLow "Traversing ANT1 lower RSSI limit." 1.3.6.1.4.1.33302.10.2.12 -80 -60

Now if I make the limits positive the function works as expected:

monitor -S -r 1 -e NotifyAnt1RssiLow "Traversing ANT1 lower RSSI limit." 1.3.6.1.4.1.33302.10.2.12 60 80

Is there some trick to using negative limits?

Richard.
