I'm getting traps sent to my snmptrapd server. Can the logs be more
verbose such as showing "Power Failed..." as defined in the MIB?
I'm not sure if my MIB is broken or this is the normal way that it
should look. I'd rather see "Power Failed..." than "Enterprise Specific
Trap (4)".
Traps show up as:
2009-06-06 22:43:19 0.1.0.0(via UDP: [192.168.1.201]:2049) TRAP, SNMP
v1, community myUPS
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.33 Enterprise Specific Trap (4) Uptime:
2:32:59.62
2009-06-06 22:43:31 0.1.0.0(via UDP: [192.168.1.201]:2049) TRAP, SNMP
v1, my belkinUPS
SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.33 Enterprise Specific Trap (2) Uptime:
2:33:11.36
My mib wich is loaded and works fine for name translations for
"snmptranslate" and "snmpget" shows the traps defined as:
dupsPowerFail TRAP-TYPE
ENTERPRISE upsd
DESCRIPTION
"WARNING: Power failed! The UPS is operating on battery power."
::= 3
dupsPowerRestored TRAP-TYPE
ENTERPRISE upsd
DESCRIPTION
"INFORMATION: Power restored! The utility power restored."
::= 4
