Snmpd pass

I am trying to use the SNMPD pass command in version 5.1.2 built for openwrt on a powerpc. My exec commands in the same snmpdconf file work perfectly. The pass command seems to never even execute. If i change the pass to an exec, I get the errors output as if nothing is being passed in, which seems correct to me. I read that the agent must be built with support for pass.
