Why?  IP classes are an obsolete concept that never really meant5 anything anyway.

First, have you tried accessing these instances from the same machine they are on?  If you can retrieve the instances at the source host using the external address, then the SNMP is configured correctly.  If you are using com2sec with source address restrictions, make sure that the source host of the requests is permitted to query.  Next, back your way out one jump at a time towards the host you can't reach your master agent from.  At some point you'll get timeouts - that is the gateway you need to poke a hole in.
