Hi All,

I would like to have clarification on timeout and retry values
supported by snmptrap.

For normal SNMP requests, we need to use retry and timeout to get the
results from device.
What is the purpose for these parameters for trap since trap is an
unsolicited message to manager.
and how the device knows when to resend the trap again and when timeout
is to be used?

I have tried out some of the RFC's like 1157. but, I did not find out
anything.

Thanks in advance,

R Srinivasan
