	The service script is not part of the net-snmp distribution.  It comes from the OS vendor, and assumes that net-snmp is installed in the location they chose (typically /usr/bin, /usr/sbin, /etc, etc...).  If you wish to use it, edit it and change the paths to snmp components to match the ones you installed to.

	Yes, either accept the distro's choice of install options, or install and maintain it yourself.  This is true for all packages.
