I use AgentX sub-agent to communicate with Net-SNMP master agent. Also, I need to support SNMP v1 and v2c (this mean that I can not use a context, only can use a community string). In the mails and specs which I read, I understood that information about community string is not available in the AgentXsubagnet. I must ask (because, maybe I got something wrong): It is not possible to get a community string in the handle function if you use AgentXsubagent? I want to use a community string to solve this problem (e.g.): I need a read-write community which may change value for some MIBs, not for all (for changing other MIBs, I need a different read-write community), i.e. each SNMP client will have own community string, and will send this string to the SNMP agnet with SNMP set command, and AgentXsubagnet must "decide" if this SNMP client can or cann't change value for the specified MIB'sOID. Thanks for answer.
