The manager will talk to "the SNMP agent" and receive the necessary information. It cannot tell whether than SNMP agent is a single binary, or a collection of cooperating agents. The whole point of AgentX is that it looks from outside as if there's a single point of contact for all management information. Use the 'proxy' directive within the master's "snmpd.conf" file to set up the delegation to the 3rd-party agent, for the information that it provides. The AgentX subagent(s) will register with the information that they support, so there's no master-side configuration necessary. The master agent will take care of deciding where to direct any incoming requests - including passing GETNEXT requests from one subagent to another if necessary.
