About NET SNMP Agent ...

Hi All,

I am using NET-SNMP to create snmp agent on Windows XP.

i installed net-snmp-5.5-x86.exe in my system (downloaded from

http://net-snmp.sourceforge.net/download.html).

I configured the agent using the below command

"snmpconf -g basic_setup"      as instructed in the FAQ section.

While configuring it is asking system location, system services and syscontact only in system group.

i set up access control settings also.

Then I have started agent service.

After this, when i try to execute snmpget

 snmpget -v 2c -c public localhost sysDescr.0

I am getting the following error.

 SNMPv2-MIB::sysUpTime = No Such Instance currently exists

and some times i am getting the following :

Time Out : No response from localhost

Where i have done mistakes.

Would you tell me?
