We've been developing a network appliance with an SNMP agent and have had troubles with "time window" errors. A solution suggested by this link... http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg06691.html ... is to use a separate engineId for the trap sender. This is an easy solution for us and it seems to work, but are there any negative consequences to it? Will Network Management Software XYZ fail to work with our product?
