Yes, that was the problem. I used -c /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf as option to start snmpd to solve the problem.

I still didn't see any link down traps. No errors dumped either.

Here is part of the output:

Could you please give me some insights why I still didn't see any link down traps? I can only receive coldStart and nsNotifyShutdown traps.

In my snmpd.conf, I have the line "linkUpDownNotifications yes".
