NET SNMP Sub agent And Master Agent Ping Interval

Hello Dev and All,

i want to configure the ping interval between the master agent and sub
agent.

i want that if master agent is not running my application should abort
secondly if after running the application after some time master agent dies
than my sub agent should retry to connect to master agent based on the
configured time.

i am trying to set the ping interval in the application by
netsnmp_ds_set_int(NETSNMP_DS_APPLICATION_ID,
NETSNMP_DS_AGENT_AGENTX_PING_INTERVAL,1);
but still it is not working and it is trying to reconnect after 15 sec.

and initial check i am trying to get the status of init_snmp but my
application is not aborting.

How I can configure both in sub agent?
