How to proxy traps from Net-SNMP subagent

Hi,
I have a
situation where two agents (1) legacy agent (2) Net-SNMP agent reside on a
network device.

Legacy agent acts as a
subagent to Net-SNMP agent using proxy feature in the latter.

I’ve successfully tested my Net-SNMP proxy
configuration where in Net-SNMP agent forwards manager requests to legacy agent
and vice versa.

The requirement
is to support SNMPv3 feature over both IPv4 and IPv6 for Legacy agent. It is now
achieved using Net-SNMP proxy feature.

Coming now to
traps, Legacy agent sends SNMPv1 traps to manager and it does not support SNMPv3
and IPv6.
  I have configured &
tested Net-SNMP agent to send SNMPv2c/v3 traps such as coldstart to manager
over IPv6.

Similar to the proxy feature, can we send Legacy agent traps to manager via Net-SNMP
agent? In other words, Net-SNMP agent would receive SNMPv1 traps from the
Legacy agent on the local host and the former should forward them to manager
over IPv6.

If possible, can anybody explain the
configuration directives used for Net-SNMP agent to support proxying traps from
subagent to manager?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,KrishnaMohan
