Hi, I have the following questions : Giving an SNMP agent and a set of devices to monitor, how can the SNMP agent know about the status of the monitored device ? Is the SNMP agent knowing the status of the device via the OS device manager module or from the device driver itself ? If I added a new device and I want the SNMP agent to listen to it, how can I configure my extended SNMP agent to be aware of the new device status ? How is the variables defined in the MIB files mapped with the system variables ?
