snmpwalk hangs

If I do an snmpwalk -v3 on a host I get a brief valid response but stops after some amount of output. If I hit Cntrl-C and repeat the command I get no response (prompt does not return). If I stop and restart the service, I receive the initial output again but hanges. The user is not restricted to any OID.
