We are in the process of setting up a Splunk installation and would like
to either forward traps from our NNM OV system, or send directly to
snmptradp.

Does anyone know how many traps per second snmptrapd can handle? I know
this is partially dependent on hardware, but does anyone have any
data/benchmarking, etc? What happens when the threshold is breached?

Also, looking for feedback from anyone in a similar situation which way
would be the better route to take. Please keep in mind I'm not very
familiar with SNMP.

Thanks!
