From looking at the mailing list, this issue was last reported in 2007 but appears to still be an issue today. When running Net-SNMP on a linux based system, Net-SNMP duplicates ppp interfaces based on the number of connects/disconnects - or rather, it never flushes the buffers (in 5.3.2.2) or has a revolving window (in 5.5). In 5.3.2.2, I am able to get over 81,000 interfaces listed in Net-SNMP but only 32 interfaces existed on the device. In 5.5, I am able to get 12-14 times the number of actual interfaces. What can I do to help troubleshoot and correct this problem? I have a lab set up and ready to go for any requests on debugging, patches or anything else that might be needed - but my C skills are ... poor. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Net-snmp-users mailing list [email protected] Please see the following page to unsubscribe or change other options: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/net-snmp-users
