Hi All,

Could you please tell me how to send octet string using snmptrap
command?

Below is the command I am running

/usr/bin/snmptrap 10.201.1.180:162 ' ' 1.3.6.1.4.1.7684.2.5.0.10
NOTIFICATION-MIB:RegId x sip-gw NOTIFICATION-MIB:Port i 1
NOTIFICATION-MIB:epOperStatus i 1

This is the error string which comes when I execute the above command.

2010-06-21 10:13:33 NOTIFICATION-MIB:RegId: Bad value notation (sip-gw)

Pleae note that NOTIFICATION-MIB:RegId is of octet string type.

Thanks,

Harendra
