Hi all in userland
Is there a known problem with Net-SNMP proxy not working for certain OIDs? I
understand that Net-SNMP running on AIX has a problem and always returns
zero for ifNumber. I tried to fix this and also use AIX-snmp to get the
ifTable & tcpConnTable by using proxy.
I configued snmpd.conf for proxy as follows:

agentaddress udp:8162
# ifterfaces
proxy -c public 127.0.0.1:161 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2
# proxy -c public 127.0.0.1:161 .1.3.6.1.2.1.2
# tcpConnTable
proxy -c public 127.0.0.1:161 .1.3.6.1.2.1.6
# hrSWinstalled
proxy -c public 127.0.0.1:161 .1.3.6.1.2.1.25.6

Net-snmp debug clearly shows packets redirected to 127.0.0.1:161 and
displays the ifTable properly. However for the ifNumber or the tcpConnTable
it does not even pass the request on to 127.0.0.1:161 .
I would be very thankful if anyone can shed some light on this or suggest a
fix.

Regards,
Zapo
