Those will return the name of the MIB object
(formatted according to the current output format settings)

For the description, you probably need to look at
    print_description, fprint_description, snprint_description

Note that you'll probably need to call
     snmp_set_save_descriptions(1);

*before* invoking init_snmp(), otherwise the MIB parsing code
will discard the description text.
