Undefined reference to 'pthread_create' link error (v5.5 w/IPv6)

  I'm running into this configure bug:

  Tried searching the bugs & patch databases to see if this has been
formally addressed, but didn't find anything.

  Is there a v5.5 patch for this, or is the workaround described later
in the thread our only alternative?

(i.e. add "--withlibs=-lpthread" to configure options)
