Net-SNMP compilation error on AIX 5.3.8.3

Good day. In compiling Net-SNMP for AIX 5.3.8.3, I came upon these errors at the end of the attached make.out file: ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: .shutdown_snmpMPDStats_5_5 ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: .init_snmpMPDStats_5_5 ld: 0711-345 Use the -bloadmap or -bnoquiet option to obtain more information. make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 8. Stop. make: 1254-004 The error code from the last command is 2. Stop. I can find no other instances of this error, even after trying to search the Net-SNMP archives.
