Sorry, if I was not clear. I was referring to the access control information (both rocommunity and trap2sink) we add to the snmpd.conf at /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf. We collect the hosts that can access our node from the user and add them to snmpd.conf file. We allow both IP addresses and FQDN's for the hosts. During the crash the very first FQDN host is missing from snmpd.conf. And this happens only "IF" the subagent crashes not otherwise. Hope I am clear.. Added to which snmpd.conf file in what list? The subagent certainly shouldn't be modifying any information in the master agent, and the master agent shouldn't be losing information. Which snmpd.conf is getting replaced? You shouldn't be editing the one in /var/net-snmp/ by hand. -- Wes Hardaker Cobham Analytic Solutions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Start uncovering the many advantages of virtual appliances and start using them to simplify application deployment and accelerate your shift to cloud computing. http://p.sf.net/sfu/novell-sfdev2dev _______________________________________________ Net-snmp-users mailing list [email protected] Please see the following page to unsubscribe or change other options: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/net-snmp-users
