I think this may be a bug in my code. I'm running a 64-bit Perl. Is there a standard example of returning a COUNTER64 value? I'm trying just use NetSNMP::agent; use NetSNMP::ASN qw/:all/; ... standard agent wrappers ... $request->setValue(ASN_COUNTER64, 100); and it doesn't seem to come through, though all other types do (so currently I'm encoding it as ASN_OCTET_STR). I'm on Ubuntu running their packages of 5.4.2.1: % dpkg -l libsnmp-perl snmpd snmp Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold | Status=Not/Inst/Cfg-files/Unpacked/Failed-cfg/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend |/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad) ||/ Name Version Description +++-=======================================-=======================================-============================================================================================== ii libsnmp-perl 5.4.2.1~dfsg0ubuntu1-0ubuntu2 SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) Perl5 support ii snmp 5.4.2.1~dfsg0ubuntu1-0ubuntu2 SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) applications ii snmpd 5.4.2.1~dfsg0ubuntu1-0ubuntu2 SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) agents Thanks Ted ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Start uncovering the many advantages of virtual appliances and start using them to simplify application deployment and accelerate your shift to cloud computing. http://p.sf.net/sfu/novell-sfdev2dev _______________________________________________ Net-snmp-users mailing list [email protected] Please see the following page to unsubscribe or change other options: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/net-snmp-users
