Do you have any idea which 'service' I need to use when working on
"mips64-octeon-linux-gnu"?

Thanks,

Naama

Hi

Is there a way to change/add community name without restarting snmpd?

If not- how do I restart snmpd?

When I do:

 ./snmpd restart [flags]

I get the following error:

getaddrinfo: restart Temporary failure in name resolution

Error opening specified endpoint "restart"

This is because you are trying to pass 'restart' to the daemon.
'restart' is not a valid option for the binary.
You either have to 'kill' the process and restart it, or use some
'service' oriented mechanism specific to your OS/distribution

For example: on my Fedora system I use: 'service snmpd restart'
