How to update the EngineID without restarting the snmpd process

Hi, I need to update the EngineID without restarting the snmpd process, but failed. The following are my steps, who can tell me what's wrong with it? - updated the engineID in snmpd.conf - triggled snmpd to load snmpd.conf again by using command "kill -1 <processID>" Thanks, Thomas ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Beautiful is writing same markup.
