Why can't I compile net-snmp in static mode?

Dear All, I met a strange problem. I compile net-snmp in static mode, but I can't get a static snmpd, Why? ./configure -prefix=/usr/local/snmp-test --with-ldflags=-Bstatic make make install [root@localhost sbin]# ls -l 总用量 256 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 138630 11月 18 14:33 snmpd -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 112981 11月 18 14:33 snmptrapd [root@localhost sbin]# file snmpd snmpd: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not str ipped Who can help me?
